The Parramatta District Office provides support to schools catering for a wide variety of areas. Choose the desired area from the options listed below.

The District Science Consultant

The science consultant for Parramatta District is Jeff Sewell. Jeff is responsible for supporting the science teaching and learning programs in your schools. This includes support in the

	implementation of the new HSC
	implementation of the Science Stage 4-5 Syllabus
	production of faculty programs
	development of scope and sequence
	writing units of work
	identification of appropriate assessment policies and procedures
	use of innovative classroom teaching strategies
	management of faculty resources
	provision of training and development
	building of links with other schools and the wider community

This support may be provided in a variety of ways such

	whole day conference / workshop at district office
	in school faculty workshop whole day / faculty meeting
	school based one semester course for individual teacher or faculty
	workshop / training sessions after school ( one off or series)
	head teacher network meetings
	subject network meetings
