Parramatta District provides a welfare service for all staff employed within the district. The Staff Welfare Officer, based at the Parramatta District Office, is Ian Cramer.  Ian's direct telephone number is +61 2 9806 1540.

Some of the support services available include:

Providing advice and information about welfare issues for teachers, school administrative and support staff and district office staff.

Confidential telephone and face-to-face support to all staff within the district.

Technical advice and support for principals in establishing best practices for personnel risk management and occupational health and safety (OHS).

Advice about the Department's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider for Parramatta District.

Advice on the Department's occupational rehabilitation program.

Development of return to work plans for partially incapacitated staff.

The Staff Welfare Officer is also the Department's designated Return to Work Coordinator for Parramatta District, under New South Wales WorkCover legislation.
